I like using this knot for any texas rig presentation for a couple of reasons. First the knot is around the shank of the hook, just below the eye, instead of the knot sitting atop the eye. This allows the weight to contact the hook directly, which allows for some additional noise while working the bait. Secondly, the way the line leaves the knot and travels through the eye of the hook allows for more positive hook setting when you get a bite. Just my 2 cents. Its also a fairly easy knot to tie after you have tied it a couple of times.
